Bunions / Joint Implants

Bunions.jpg Bunions are a rather complex deformity that develops over time. The process starts when we first begin to walk !  Yes … we inherit the potential of developing this problem. We inherit how the bones in our foot are shaped, for example … long or short big toes, long second and third toes, short little toes and sometimes all look same length!  It is in the family; mom or dad, grandma or grandpa!  That combined with poor foot imbalances such as flatfoot, high arches, intoeing or outtoeing (walking like a duck ) these are all signs of intrinsic foot imbalances that need help. By controlling these imbalances, especially early on in life, one can either prevent or at least minimize future bunion deformities and bad joints.
